Dr Katarzyna Williams is Deputy Director at the ANU Centre for European Studies, The Australian National University, working at the intersection of migration, memory studies and international relations. Her research examines how cultural practice does identity work, particularly how narrative, memory and heritage shape belonging in contexts of displacement and transnational mobility. She is a qualitative researcher using oral history, life narratives and memory analysis, and has conducted extended fieldwork with migrant and diaspora communities in Australia and Europe.
