ACSPRI develops and maintains a suite of free / libre open source software for conducting survey research. It is used internally by ACSPRI’s survey centre, Academic Surveys Australia, and is available to the public under an free / libre open source licence.
- queXML is used to describe a questionnaire and then deploy it in multiple modes - including a printable, scannable and software processable PDF form. queXML is available as an independent software package and also included in the Limesurvey online survey system.
- queXF is used to automatically process filled and scanned paper forms, and for operators to verify the process using a web browser.
- queXC is used to clean and code (classify) text data, for example for coding text responses in questionnaires to standard classification schemes such as the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).
- queXS is a web based computer assisted telephone (CATI) interviewing system. This system is available to download and is available as a cloud service.
